Featured Guest: Mary Sutton, SU Regional Field Leader
Mary Sutton, and her husband Charlie, began reading Encounter with God together while they were students at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, never finding any devotional that comes close to what Scripture Union produces. In those guides, Mary read about the SuperKids® outreach programs, and decided to check it out by joining a team at Dewey Beach. Shortly after that Mary helped Trinity Church in Whitinsville launch their first mission in 2004. As a Christian public school teacher, Mary always prayed for students, families, and colleagues to see Christ in her. But the reality that children knew less and less about things related to God, set the stage for her to leave teaching after 17 years in order to become Scripture Union field staff. Currently, Mary is also involved in curriculum work for SU as well as children’s ministry.
