Scripture Union helps bring the Gospel to children through our ANYWHERE–ANYTIME SuperKids® Program. SuperKids® Missions reach out to children wherever they are: in cities, in rural areas and on vacation in resorts and on beaches. SuperKids® is presented as a “missions-to-go” outreach program and provides tools to any church or group prepared to run an effective program to reach unchurched children

Sharing the Gospel

The Bible is at the heart of SuperKids® missions and personal relationships are key to the effectiveness of SU’s children’s ministry. SuperKids® summer outreach programs reach kids ages 4-14, many of whom have never heard the Gospel.

Programs take place wherever the children are – playgrounds, housing developments, city parks and beaches across the country. The Good News is energetically proclaimed to children by hundreds of volunteers. Bible stories mingled with high energy games, singing, humorous skits and always the “unexpected” surprises, enable thousands of children to receive personal insight regarding our loving Savior Jesus Christ! On many occasions, parents stand nearby to listen and also learn about God’s love.

  • "Our children's program really grew because of SuperKids®.  We can't not do it again!"
    DK from Hyannis, MA
  • "A young boy chose to miss baseball practice in order to attend SuperKids®. His father and grandfather came out to see what was so important to him that he would choose church over ball practice!"
    FF, Pastor
  • "SuperKids® is a good foundation for children to learn about the Bible. It's great to see children from the neighborhood that don’t normally come to our church."
    Bernice, volunteer

SuperKids® Outreach Curriculum and Program Resources

Scripture Union offers six different programs for sharing the Gospel with children. Each program includes a guide for leaders, materials for creative Bible exploration, and a variety of suggested games, crafts, or activities that can be adjusted for the needs of your community. Newly Revised for 2022!! Who is Jesus?

Detectives Shorty Sherlock and Wallaby Watson look for clues in the Gospel of John to discover “Who is Jesus?”  Children are invited to use their sleuthing skills to consider the evidence of the expert witnesses and to respond to what is revealed about Jesus in the Gospel of John.

This creative curriculum is designed to reach out to children anywhere, anytime and uses dramas and small group time to engage children.  Step-by-step guidance is provided for a 10-day curriculum.  Includes a guide for leaders, materials for creative Bible exploration, daily drama scripts, Bible Diggers Small Group Activities, and more.

Available on USB, Print or Both. Order here.

Go for Jesus!

Welcome to Go for Jesus!, a SuperKids® Outreach Curriculum! The creative materials you’ll find here will fill five or ten days of ministry to children Kindergarten - Grade 5, with additional materials for Pre-Readers and Grades 6-8. With it, you will set up a “base camp” atmosphere for your young explorers to discover for themselves what it means to walk with Jesus and to tell others about Him, based on stories from the book of Acts. Molly, Trevor Chest and Mr. Explorer learn what it means to go for Jesus. On their journey, they uncover God’s truth about community, prayer, praise, and courage. In the end, their lives are changed as their faith grows.

Each of the daily program outlines can be adapted for various-sized programs or a variety of settings: city park outreach, beach missions, camp chapels and devotions—any place where children gather! You’ll find that the skits and stories focus on the relationships and dialog between the characters; they will engage you and your kids in the action regardless of your program location. The material is not presented as a fixed curriculum, but rather as a collection of teaching tools (stories, skits, games, activities, and songs) that can be arranged and rearranged to fit the gifts of your ministry team, the needs of the children you serve, and the demands of your particular setting on a particular day.

As part of every program in the SuperKids® Series, you and your team will:

• engage kids’ hearts with the Gospel through Dramas and Bible Stories
• teach kids to read the Bible with Bible Digger Study Sheets
• help kids learn Scripture using Memory Verse Skits and strategies
• internalize the Bible Stories with engaging quizzes
• fellowship with kids through Kids Play! Anytime, Anywhere Games

Together, the SuperKids® materials introduce kids to what Christianity is all about, through fellowship and small groups, including invitations for the children to respond to Christ.

Guardians of Ancora

The Guardians of Ancora outreach program is based on the award winning Guardians of Ancora app. This highly creative program takes place in the city of Ancora that used to glow with the light of a thousand stories. Now these tales are gone and the Spire grows dim. Children and leaders will become Guardians of Ancora, searching for stories to relight the Spire. Children will explore 10 stories from the New Testament to discover who Jesus is and the power of putting your faith in Christ.
