SuperKids® Summer Outreach
Scripture Union helps bring the Gospel to children through our ANYWHERE-ANYTIME SuperKids®. SuperKids® programs are used to reach children wherever they are: in cities, in rural areas, in parks, and on beaches or lakes. SuperKids® is a “missions-to-go” outreach that provides tools for any church or group prepared to run an effective program to evangelize unchurched children.
The Bible is at the heart of SuperKids®, and personal relationships are key to the effectiveness of all SU’s children’s ministries. The SuperKids® curriculum is written for children in kindergarten through 5th grade and includes additional materials for pre-readers and children grades 6-8. On many occasions, family members stand nearby to listen and also learn about God’s love.
Programs will take place across the country this summer. The Good News will be energetically proclaimed to children by hundreds of volunteers. Bible stories mingled with high energy games, singing, humorous skits, and always the “unexpected” surprises, will enable children in the United States to receive personal insight about Jesus and give them the opportunity to follow him.
SuperKids® Outreach Curricula and Program Resources
SuperKids® offers three different engaging curricula to choose from for sharing the gospel with children this summer. Each curriculum can be used in a 5 or 10 day program and includes:
- A leader’s guide
- Materials for creative Bible exploration
- Daily drama scripts
- Engaging games
- Creative craft ideas
- Icebreaker and follow-up activities
Each outreach program is adaptable to a variety of settings and is presented as a collection of teaching tools that can be arranged to best meet the needs of your team’s gifting and setting.
The goal of each SuperKids® program is to:
- Engage children’s hearts with the gospel
- Teach children how to read the Bible and understand it
- Help children to memorize Scripture
- Encourage children’s talking with God
- Promote fellowship with other children through play
- Invite children to respond to Christ
Who is Jesus?
Grab your magnifying glass and join detectives Shorty Sherlock and Wallaby Watson as they look for clues in the Gospel of John to determine who Jesus is. Combining comical skits, sleuthing skills, and small group experiences, Who is Jesus? invites children to explore the evidence of expert witnesses to uncover what is revealed in the Bible about Jesus.

Guardians of Ancora
Through creative and immersive storytelling, Guardians of Ancora utilizes the award-winning, faith-based Guardians of Ancora app, and takes children on an adventure exploring 10 New Testament stories to discover who Jesus is, relight the Spire in Ancora, and once again bring light to the City of Hope. The character of Christ and the power of his stories are what light the Spire and bring hope to a dark world.

Go for Jesus!
Young explorers discover for themselves what it means to walk with Jesus and to tell others about him in Go for Jesus! based on the book of Acts. Through storytelling and skits, children watch Molly, Trevor Chest and Mr. Explorer determine what it really means to go for Jesus. As they learn from lessons dealing with community, prayer, praise, and courage, their faith grows and their lives are changed.
